A Shiba Inu is a incredible breed! Never have I seen a more REGAL dog that requires VERY LITTLE potty training. They are super friendly, athletic and very clean as they are considered cat like!
They are kid friendly and LOVE their entire family. They are very happy to be indoor dogs as they need to be part of the family but do know they are NOT couch potatoes-they need toys and room to play. While not hyper like a terrier breed, they are athletes so let them stretch out a bit:) Throw a ball and watch your Shiba smile in complete joy!
The BEST training for a Shiba is early SOCIALIZATION!! They need to see beyond the walls of your home and the fence in the backyard. Early puppy training GROUP classes are cheap and an easy, safe way to socialize your puppy! No age is too young to be to class!!
YOU MUST TRAIN YOUR SHIBA to have a GOOD SHIBA!
